SAVED BY THE WIND
Thick veils of the night blanketed by the dark. Determined wind, swaying the branches from side to side. They dance in a rhythmical ritual, knowing that the day would come and they must calm to the voice of the sun. Another ritual with a different participation. I hear the knock of the wind on my window. Naturally, I ignore as I always do at this time, but something different happens you see. It was the smell. 4am, the alarm goes off, but what is that smell? Ah! Smoke from the mistake unknown. I left it on, and it burned through flesh already made perfect. Created by another, destroyed by me. A touch of hades. The smoke, it engulfs the rooms, my lungs too, so I answer the knocks of the wind. Opening my window to let her in because tonight, she is my savior.
