DAFFODIL

Flowers have been on my mind lately. Tulips especially, but few nights ago, I picked out a single daffodil, and brought it up to my room. A symbol of some sort I believe. One of hope. Today, I need a lot of hope, as my heart weighs heavy. On the scale, there is an imbalance. One part heart, the other, emotions, which tips the scale. I cry for my pain, but it is a necessary release for what is to come. For the tears will dry, and by morning, my joy will shine bright like the daffodil on my dresser.
